Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix cake batter according to box instructions.
Step 3
Pour batter into 9 X 9 or 9 X 13 pan, then evenly top with fruit filling.
Step 4
Make the "crisp" topping by combining sugar, flour, brown sugar and butter until it is a sand-like consistency.
Step 5
Cover cake batter completely with the crisp topping. (depending on size of pan you use, you may have some topping leftover)
Step 6
Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until firm all the way through. If top gets dark, simply cover with foil until it's done.
Time saving tip: Grate frozen butter into dry ingredients using a grater, to make it simpler to work together.
I loved this recipe it came out very good I cooked an extra 5 minutes to cook more the middle of the cake. I love the taste it’s perfect, I am serving my guests tonight this desert after dinner tonight I made sure to buy Haagen-Dazs to go with pie.
