Caramel apple egg rolls are perfect as a festive fall appetizer, a fun party snack, or a delightful dessert. They’re best served warm, allowing the caramel to ooze out with every bite. For an extra indulgence, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of extra caramel sauce.
Step 1
Spoon one heaping ¼ cup of the fruit filling onto each of the 8 egg roll wrappers and fold according to the egg roll package instructions. You will need a beaten egg or water to seal the edges of the wrappers. Set aside.
Step 2
In a shallow bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
Step 3
Heat 2-3 inches of oil in a pan until it reaches 350F. Fry 2-3 egg rolls at a time, turning occasionally until golden brown.
Step 4
Remove from the oil, let the oil drip off then place in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Coat all sides of the egg roll and transfer to a plate.
Step 5
Repeat until all egg rolls are cooked. Serve warm with caramel sauce and/or ice cream and enjoy!
